I have sciatica and I was prescribed Soma. What is Soma and what does it do?
I am in horrible pain from sciatica. My doctor prescribed my Naproxen and Soma. I know what Naproxen is (aleve), but I don’t have a clue what Soma is. Please elaborate for me. What is Soma? What does it do? Will it help with my sciatica?

Soma is used together with rest and physical therapy to treat injuries and other painful musculoskeletal conditions. The combination of the two will help a lot. Please watch out for side effects from naproxen like swelling of your hands and feet. If you do develop this stop taking and call your doctor to change medication. Yes this should help.
