Pain Relief
How do you remedy a pinched nerve in your back?
My sister-in-law just had her 5th kid, and her back is killing her. It sounds like a pinched nerve because now and then her arms get tingly and it’s usually during/after picking up one of the kids or any other lifting.
How can she remedy this? All medications aside, are there excercises or anything she can do? Unfortunately, with 5 kids, it’s not possible for her to not lift things. Does anyone have any experiences they can share?
thanks so much!
I appreciate suggesting a chiroprator, however someone in our family was seriously injured by one and she had no recourse, so that is not an option for us. A very bad experience, but thank you.
Despite today’s chiropractics being very safe I understand that a bad experience has put you off seeing one. I’m sorry to learn someone was injured – it’s very rare and unfortunate. One option is to have her go through some physical therapy – which will help but may not relief all the pressure on the nerve because most PTs will not perform adjustments. Some PT offices offer deep tissue massage and that will help as well. The other option is acupuncture. Sounds weird but its effective. Good luck.

I would try a chiropractor.

I go to a massage therapist, I’ve also tried a chiropractor, but would not advise it. Some of the spine and neck adjustment techniques seem pretty risky to me. I had a worse feeling after the quick neck snap he did.
