How do I get rid of ongoing shoulder/neck pain?

For the last 4 months I have had ongoing shoulder and neck pain. The pain worsens when I sit for long periods of time. I have been to an MD and was just given meds. The meds didn’t help. I have been to the chiro numerous times but haven’t gone for the last month.
I am uncomfortable sleeping and have been forced to take sleeping pills just to be able to rest. I don’t know what else to do. Recently the pain has caused me to be come nauseous and has made me feel ill. Please help!
